If you love cocktails then you are in for a treat: The Bridge – the lovely lounge bar within the Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s – has just launched its new menu, and the results are as creative as can be.

“We had a great time coming up with this new menu,” says bar manager Robert Stoyanov. “There are so many interesting trends out there at the moment – such as the use of egg whites and floral flavours, and serving each drink in truly beautiful glassware, so we got to have a lot of fun. Of course we’ve kept all the traditional favourites, but we’ve added some unique options that make the most of local flavours and exciting combinations, so that our guests always have something new to experience – even if they have visited us many times before!”

With that in mind, there are now endless options to choose from when you fancy a cocktail at The Bridge. Here we’ve selected just four of our favourites.

The Grand Harbour

The Grand Harbour

Named after Malta’s stunning natural Harbour between the Three Cities and Valletta (we recommend booking a boat trip here if you haven’t already!), the Grand Harbour cocktail is a delicious combination of Tawny Port, Amaretto, White Chocolate and Cinnamon Syrup, and fresh cream. While the port may seem like an odd addition to those other ingredients, trust us: this one is truly delicious.

The Pod

The Pod

If you’re a fan of sweet cocktails, do consider this one. Located in the ‘Bartender’s Creations’ section of the menu, it magically merges Absolut Vodka, Hennessy, vanilla liqueur, vanilla syrup, pear juice, and egg whites, to create a refreshing cocktail that’s also a little bit different.

Breach 42

Breach 42

If you fancy a bit of creative serving, then Breach 42 could be the ideal aesthetic fit, with Blue Curaçao presented in a pipette for you to add to the glass – thus transforming the colour of the cocktail. Tasty and interactive, it also combines Ballantines Whisky, Bols Cherry Brandy, Bols Pomegranate Liqueur, and lemonade.

Finally, we had to include a gin cocktail in our selection – and this is the ultimate gin cocktail in our opinion. It centres around Gun Powder Irish Gin, with the addition of chilli pepper and homemade coffee bitter. Scrumptious!

BONUS

Robert Stoyanov

To top off the menu, Robert and the team have also created a number of very special Deluxe Cocktails, inspired by Fire, Water, Earth and Air. From the peaty Glenfiddich 12-year-old whisky to represent the earth, to the Beluga Transatlantic to suggest water, they really are something special.

Find them all at The Bridge, within the Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s.
