Malta has lots of wonderful beaches that you may want to discover during your stay.

In St Julian’s, just a stone’s throw from the Radisson Blu Resort, St. Julian’s, St George’s Bay is a convenient sandy bay for a dip, while, further north, Golden Sands and Mellieha Bay (also known as Ghadira Bay) are very popular for their beautiful settings and excellent facilities.

However, they are also very busy! So, in this blog post, we’ve put together a list of the island’s lesser-known beaches – in fact, if you’re lucky, you may be the only ones there!

Wied Il-Ghasri, Gozo

Admittedly, some of our favourite secluded beaches are over on Gozo – but they’re worth the trip! Just like this bay for instance, which is situated in a little inlet between the cliffs. If you love snorkelling, this one is for you.

St Peter’s Pool

Down south in Malta this time, St Peter’s Pool was recently made famous on a video of a pet dog jumping off the cliff into the water. If you haven’t seen it, we think you should! While this bay isn’t as secluded as some of the others, it’s absolutely stunning and the water is very clear.

Imgiebah Bay

The whole area of Selmun, where this bay is found, is primed for exploration – whether you want a spot for a country walk, a picnic or a place to stop and swim. Once again, you will need to get those walking boots ready if you want to get to this beach, but we think it’s well worth it.

St Maria Bay, Comino

Comino’s world famous Blue Grotto may be a must-visit attraction on most trips to the islands but it does get very, very busy – especially at this time of year. If you’re willing to make the trek to the other side of the island – about a half-an-hour walk – you will discover another bay that is just as beautiful but not half as busy. We definitely recommend it!
