If your kids are into Playmobil, then a trip to the Fun Park whilst in Malta is essential. All the famous miniature figurines sold worldwide start life in the factory in Malta, so you can take a sneak peek into how they’re made before exploring the Fun Park, which features the latest Playmobil sets – ready for your little ones to play with. Full facilities include a cafeteria, a shop, and even an outside sand pit and water area, so there’s something for everyone.

If you and the kids can’t get enough of Malta’s water-themed exhibits, then check out the island’s recently-built national aquarium. Inhabitants include sharks, sea turtles and sea horses, while a historic introduction to the Maltese Islands gives you the bigger picture. Kids can also make full use of the outdoor nautical themed play area, whilst the parents can enjoy the breath-taking views from coffee shops and restaurant which complete the complex.

Featuring not just aquatic species but also reptiles and birds, a day at Mediterraneo includes educational programmes alongside marine shows and demonstrations, so you know that the kids are learning whilst having fun.

Literally a splash away from Mediterraneo Marine Park is Splash and Fun, which maintains the water theme with an extensive swimming pool complex. Featuring a lazy river, wave pool and a separate baby pool, as well as full facilities and a restaurant, you don’t have to go very far, in water or on land, to have a good time as a family.
