For the bird-lovers, a day out at the BirdPark is essential. Featuring an educational tour of over 200 species of birds and animals, the kids will love watching the wildlife whilst the adults will appreciate the on-site cafeteria.

POPEYE VILLAGE, Mellieha


A film-set-turned-theme-park, Popeye Village offers play areas for young children, a mini outdoor fair, and live animation throughout Families may like to make a day of it and enjoy the beautiful views via a boat trip around Anchor Bay or by booking a table at one of the two onsite restaurants.

All the famous miniature figurines sold worldwide start life in the factory in Malta, so you can take a sneak peek into how they’re made before exploring the Fun Park, which features the latest Playmobil sets – ready for your little ones to play with. MALTA NATIONAL AQUARIUM, Qawra


If you and the kids can’t get enough of Malta’s water-themed exhibits, then check out the island’s recently-built national aquarium. Featuring not just aquatic species but also reptiles and birds, a day at Mediterraneo includes educational programmes alongside marine shows and demonstrations, so you know that the kids are learning whilst having fun.

SPLASH AND FUN WATER PARK, Bahar ic-Caghaq


Literally a splash away from Mediterraneo Marine Park is Splash and Fun, which maintains the water theme with an extensive swimming pool complex. Featuring a lazy river, wave pool and a separate baby pool, as well as full facilities and a restaurant, you don’t have to go very far, in water or on land, to have a good time as a family.
